Abia Hunters Nab Suspected Pipeline Vandals

Members of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Services in Abia State have arrested suspects involved in the vandalization of oil pipeline installations in Ogbodinibe, Umuahia South LGA.

The arrested individuals are Chukwunyere Onwuka, aged 34, and Chinatu Israel, aged 26.

According to the Abia State Commander of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Services, Mmerube Sunday Chukwudiegwu, the arrests were made around 2 PM on Sunday in Umuahia, following credible information.

He mentioned that four other suspects managed to escape, including an unidentified man suspected of purchasing the vandalized items.

The recovered exhibits from the suspects included approximately N180,000 in cash.

The suspects have been transferred to the Ubakala Division for further investigation and prosecution.
