Gov Okorocha Sets To Impeach Madumere; Reportedly Gives Ihim N30m, Others N20m

Part of his plans to perfect the deal was the controversial removal of Barr Uche Oguwuike, representing Ikeduru State Constituency as Majority Leader and reappointment of sacked Lugard Osuji representing Owerri Municipality as new Majority Leader.

An aggrieved Lawmaker from Orlu Zone revealed to IMOTRUMPETA that Governor Okorocha has offered N30 million to the Speaker, Rt. Acho Ihim while other interested lawmakers received N20 million each for the hatchet job.

The latest move to impeach Madumere was unconnected to the recent humiliation of Governor Okorocha in the just concluded Ward Congress, which is still under contention, wherein, the source disclosed that the Governor was very embittered that his Deputy played a major role.

The Lawmaker further revealed the once Madumere was impeached, the Speaker, Rt. Hon Ihim will replace him while Hon Osuji will become the new Speaker.
