Two young Nigerian footballers, Ikechukwu George and Godswill Nwakanma, have signed one-year professional contracts with Armenian first-division club FC Lernayin Artsakh.

Both players were formerly members of OPM Football Club and were sponsored to Europe by the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, using church funds.
Reacting to the development, Apostle Chinyere announced the news in a Facebook post, describing the players as “my children” and confirming their commitment to OPM.
“2 of my children I used tithes and offerings from OPM church sent to Europe just signed a one-year contract with a first division club in Europe. Both are committed OPM members,” he wrote.

George hails from Mbaise, Imo State, while Nwakanma is from Ohuru Ndoki, Abia State.
The announcement has sparked excitement among OPM members and football fans, with many celebrating the achievement as a testament to the church’s investment in youth development and sports.
