The leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Committee of the Presidential Campaign Council, Lagos state chapter also known as “Excellent Youths” Tuesday paid a consultative visit to former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu towards attaining a landslide victory for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming poll.
Speaking at the meeting held in Lagos, the delegation requested as part of its strategic programmes of reaching out to diverse and teeming electorate in Lagos state, the committee specifically asked Kalu to lead and actively participate in the house-to-house and market visitation campaigns for the Buhari-Osinbajo and the Lagos State APC gubernatorial candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the forthcoming elections to canvass and harmonise the support of Lagosians, who are of Igbo extraction.
In his response, the former governor expressed to the delegation for their efforts in driving the presidential campaign among the youths and other stakeholders.
He said, ” I am impressed with the support the youth are giving the President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in their efforts to reposition the country.
“As you have requested, I am promising you to join your team and other stakeholders, to mobilise Ndigbo in Lagos for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC governorship candidate, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
” I task your committee to continue the good works for the sake of the party and Nigeria in general”
The former governor, was later presented with souvenirs branded with pictures of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the APC logo by the committee.
The delegation was led by Kunle Oyewumi, Lagos state Coordinator and members: Ahmed Agbabiaka, Ahmed Shomoye, Ibrahim Alli-Balogun, Akinfolarin Razaq and Femi Omoboye.
