Few hours to the deadline given the the nation’s apex electorial body, the Independent National Electorial Commission (INEC) to political parties to file in the names of their candidates, IGBERE TV investigation Reveals that some governorship aspirants who lost out in the battle for party tickets in their respective parties are now in last minute defections moves to actualise their ambitions on the platforms of other available parties.
The latest is Barr Humphrey Anumudu who has reportedly dumped the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Anumudu was one of the 12 governorship aspirants who left APGA perhaps annoyed on the shoddy manner the governorship primary was conducted.
According to a report by InnoNews, apart from Anumudu, there are strong indications that former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim has concluded arrangements to further his governorship ambition on the platform of the Accord Party.
Ohakim is also among the 12 governorship aspirants in APGA opposed to the manner the party’s governorship primaries was held. He led the aspirants to court to challenge the outcome of the exercise.
IGBERE TV learnt that there will be shocking revelations when INEC publish the list of governorship candidates of various political parties in Imo State as most of them who lost out in their original parties have secretly joined new parties as candidates.
