The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee, has canceled the party’s gubernatorial primary election for Lagos state purportedly conducted today across the state.
The NWC said there was no primary election in the state.
IGBERE TV reports that the committee, at a press conference on Tuesday, opposed the option A4 mode used in the election, expressing preference for secret ballot system.
There was confusion after the Chairman of the committee, Clement Ebri, described as fake the results making the rounds.
Ebri said even the materials for the exercise were yet to be distributed and wondered how “fake results” were being announced at the pooling centres.
The committee put in place by the National Working Committee of the party had on Monday said the primaries will be by open-secret balloting.
However, IGBERE TV observed that the scenario from the results being circulated showed that Option A4 was fully adopted, with voters queuing behind the photographs of their preferred candidates.
The panel subsequently urged the general public to disregard any results emanating from the exercise .
