Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State, on Thursday, stormed the House of Representatives as three lawmakers of the Peoples Democratic Party from his state defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Radda was ushered into the chamber at 11:10 am to witness the defection of the lawmakers.
The lawmakers are Hon. Balarabe Dabai (Bakori/Danja federal constituency), Hon. Iliyasu Abubakar (Batsari, Safana and Dan-Musa federal constituency) and Hon. Salisu Yusuf (Mashi/Dutse federal constituency).
Shortly after Radda was ushered in, Speaker Abbas Tajudeen read the letters from the lawmakers announcing their defections from the PDP to the APC.
After the defection announcement, the governor led the defecting lawmakers to handshakes with the speaker after which he took his leave.
Daily Trust reports that the House has continued to witnessed gale of defections from the opposition political parties especially, the LP and PDP to ruling APC.
On Tuesday, six lawmakers from Delta State dumped the PDP to the APC while two LP lawmakers from Enugu State crossed over to the PDP.
