The All Progressives Grand Alliance youth have clearly stated that they don’t know anybody by the name Edozie Njoku in the party.
In a statement made available to IGBERE TV on Tuesday by the National Youth Leader of the party, Comr Onyebuchi Chukwu Eze (De Law) said they accepted Barr Ezeokenwa Sly Jr because he’s one of them and anything short of that is short of us.
He further said that Sly Ezeokenwa has constantly reiterated his resolve to turn APGA into a Youth oriented political party where aspirants will stand candidates based on age, merit and competence.
Comr Onyebuchi Chukwu described Chief Edozie Njoku as a stooge being used by desperate and horrible politicians to scuttle the hope of the youths.
The statement reads in parts,
“APGA has never been a Youth party until Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo came onboard and found trust in the capacity of the Youths which saw the handing over of the entire party structure to the Youths leadership. For the first time in the history of Nigeria politics, a Youth yet to be 40 years was trusted enough to lead a top five National Political Party as it’s National Chairman. This ofcourse is an answered prayer to the Youths of Nigeria who have over the years been marginalized and tactically sidelined in the leadership of any kind in the country. This new turn of events we the youths of APGA will not trade for any political gimmicks. ”
” We the youths of APGA are not unaware of the new twist of things where falsehood thinks itself popular enough to outshine the truth. We are in APGA because APGA came to us first. We accepted Barr Ezeokenwa Sly Jr because he’s one of us and anything short of that is short of us. SLY EZEOKENWA WE KNOW, EDOZIE NJOKU WE DON’T KNOW. Since inception, Sly Ezeokenwa has constantly reiterated his resolve to turn APGA a Youth oriented political party where aspirants will stand candidates based on age, merit and competence. He has in many occasions promised the youths of his first consideration, giving young people the hope they have lost in contesting and winning elections without a Godfather in Nigeria where money replaces competency. This we will not throw away because of desperate politicians. ”
” We will not go back to Egypt. We have trust in APGA because of Sly Ezeokenwa who represents the new order. Chief Edozie Njoku and his cohorts obviously represent the old order where desperation and impunity play the major role. We have gone passed the days of impunity and desperation. He represents the rot in the system that the youths want to flush out. Edozie Njoku seems to represent that typical Nigerian politician whose conscience has been slaughtered on the alter of personal interest. He’s like a typical example of selfish politicians whose interest overrides the interest of the people. It’s all about him and not about the party or her progress. He’s like that regular Nigerian politician who will rather crash the system instead of losing one of his personal interests. It’s like a do or die for him. A not him let it be no one mentality. This is the mentality that has kept us down as a people in this country.”
” It won’t be wrong to say that Chief Edozie Njoku is a stooge being used by desperate and horrible politicians to scuttle the hope of the youths as it has always been in this country? Hope you know he’s not the one directly fighting to distabilise APGA but the only one who can stoop that low to be used as a tool in the hand of those who want to distabilise the only party whose idealogy and manifesto challenge the old order. APGA is the only party speaking the language of the Youths and poor Nigerians. This language of BE YOUR BROTHER’S AND SISTER’S KEEPER is not going down well with those who want the Youths to be their brother’s and sister’s killers which is exactly what Edozie and co are manifesting without any spirit of being your brother’s keeper. In the APGA Youths Assembly – AYA which makes up the Youth wing of our great party, SLY EZEOKENWA WE KNOW, EDOZIE NJOKU WE DON’T KNOW. ”
