The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State has announced the emergence of Chief George Ndudim Thesie as its House of Representatives candidate for Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency for the 2027 general elections.

Announcing the results of the primary election in Umuahia on Thursday, the Chairman of the party, Chief Onukwubiri, said Thesie was elected as the sole candidate for the constituency.
According to Onukwubiri, Thesie is a better alternative for constituents who, he said, have not experienced proper representation since 1999.
Responding, the APGA standard bearer, who hails from Akpahia Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area, said his decision to run was born out of a deep-seated desire to drive transformation and development to the people.
The grassroots politician emphasized that his focus, if elected, would be on human capital development through employment, wealth creation, agriculture, education, health, and security.

He stated that his mission is to offer constituents the true definition of representation — a standard he says has been missing for years.
He called on party faithful, his supporters, and the people of Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency to rally behind him in the general election.
