Ondo Senator Appoints 100 PAs, Awards N300k to Each Constituent

Billionaire business magnate and Ondo South Senator, Dr. Ibrahim Jimoh, CFR, has taken a significant step by appointing 100 Personal Assistants dedicated to Community Development within the Ondo South senatorial district.

These appointments were unveiled during a public announcement on a Wednesday, hosted at the University of Fortune in Igbotako, within the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. Senator Jimoh revealed that each of the newly appointed Personal Assistants will receive a monthly stipend of N300,000.

Furthermore, he emphasized that their appointments would take immediate effect, and the appointees would receive their first salary on the day they assume their respective roles.

The senator, who’s marking the his first 100 days in office, presented bank draft of N300,000 to each of the personal assistants as their first first salaries.

In the same vein, the senator flagged off the rehabilitation and maintenance of some roads in the district that are in bad conditions.

He noted that at the completion of the roads construction would enhance the socio-economic situation of the district.

Senator Ibrahim said: “I appointed the 100 special assistants on Community Development for easy monitoring of the projects and programmes I put in place to improve the living standard of our people.

“The roads construction and maintenance is important because this will surely have tremendous impact on the businesses of our people.

“Time spent on the road would reduce and this would shore up production rate of our people.

“All the 100 personal assistants received their first salaries today that they are starting work because I want this to improve their lives.”

Responding on behalf of other appointees, Mr Ayara Gbenga from Erije ward in Okitipupa Local government.who appreciated the senator for their appointments, described the gesture as unprecedent in the political history of the state.

He said: “In Ondo State, no senator has ever done this kind of great thing within 100 days in office since the nation returned to democracy in 1999.

“Looking at his achievements within the period he assumed the position of representing us at the Senate, he has performed beyond our expectations.

“We are happy he has proved all the nays wrong within a short time. He’s turning everywhere round.

“He’s rehabilitating the roads in our district that are in deplorable state. It is important to know that he’s funding these capital projects.”

Present at the event are traditional rulers from the Senatorial district.
