Footballer, Peremobowei Drowns in Bayelsa Flood After Rescuing 5 Victims of Sinking Boat (Photo)

 

The corpse of a 31 years old footballer, Earnest Peremobowei, has been recovered two days after he drowned in the raging flood at Yenebelebiri community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

The deceased, who died after saving five other occupants of the boat, has been deposited in the Morgue at the Federal Medical Centre.

He was said to be on his way to Yenebelebiri community in company of five persons when their boat smashed into the Government Jetty Barge and they lost control.

Brother to the deceased, Earnest Komboye, who confirmed the incident, said the brother died of exhaustion after saving five occupants of the boat.

He said they were trying to cross over to the Yenebelebiri community to check the level of flood to their houses and properties.
