Enugu Confirms 3 New COVID-19 Cases, Records 1350 Total Samples Since Outbreak

IgbereTV reports that Enugu State Ministry of Health has confirmed 3 new cases of COVID-19, and has recorded 1350 cumulative number of samples since the outbreak of COVID-19.

A statement made available to IgbereTV on Monday by the Commissioner for Health, Enugu State, Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu reads:

“#Enugu #COVID19 latest update from State Ministry of Health (29/6/2020)

*Cumulative number of samples since outbreak – 1350

*New laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases – 3

*Total laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases – 261

*Number of COVID-19 cases on treatment – 205

*Number of COVID-19 cases discharged – 50

*Number of Laboratory confirmed COVID-19 related deaths – 6

*Be Responsible! COVID-19 is real!

*Stay home when it is not absolutely necessary to go out

*Wear a facemask/covering whenever you must go out

*Keep a safe distance from other people at all times, which is social/physical distancing and avoid crowded places

*Practice good respiratory hygiene (when coughing or sneezing)

*Clean surfaces around you regularly with a solution of 1 part bleach and 99 parts of water (e.g. 1ml of bleach into 99 ml of water, mixed)

*Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds under running water as often as possible

*And when facilities for handwashing are unavailable, sanitize your hands as often as possible using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
