Nigeria’s former Presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, are among early arrivals at Awa Iman, country home of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, for the burial of his father, Gabriel Nkanang.
Others at the event include Patience Jonathan, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus.
The governor’s father died on December 1, 2019 at age 90.
A service of songs and friends’ night was held in the deceased’s honour on February 14.
He was then laid to rest today, February 15.
