Months after Chukwuemeka Akachi, a young Nigerian poet and final year student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) committed suicide after sharing his suicide note on Facebook, another student of the institution has towed same lane by allegedly drinking “sniper”.
The student identified as Chinwendu Odoh, attempted suicide by 8:00 a.m on Saturday September 7. She was however rushed to the hospital where she is responding to treatment.
Enugu state’s police spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the incident and he said a full scale investigation has launched.
Amaraizu said sympathisers blamed the suicide attempt on depression over an unresolved issue.
