Nigerians have launched reprisal attacks on South African company, Shoprite, located at Circle Mall, Jakande, Lekki, Lagos over xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.
Nigerians picketed the building on Tuesday following reports of killings of foreigners especially Nigerians in South Africa.
Reports on social media show smoke coming from a location near Shoprite’s premises.
The unrest began after several persons stormed the mall and began knocking items off shelves.
They were reportedly forced out of the building by police officers who were called to the scene.
