Former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, AbdulRafiu Ogunleye, has died at age 79 at his home town, Itele, Ijebu.
Ogunleye, who died early Monday, was deputy governor during the administration of Olusegun Osoba.
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has expressed sorrow over the demise.
The governor, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, described Ogunleye as an astute administrator and a politician per excellent, who contributed immensely to the socio-economic and political development of Ogun State.
