The Federal Government will on Monday begin the implementation of a court order proscribing the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) by publishing the order in the Official Gazette.
Sources in the Federal Ministry of Justice, who pleaded not to be named, have disclosed that the order would be published on Monday evening, Igbere TV reports.
The Official Gazette is published by a Federal Government-owned printing press based in Lagos.
A Federal High Court in Abuja had on Friday ordered that the Shiites be labelled a terrorist group.
Justice Nkeonye Maha also ordered the Federal Government to publish the order in two national newspapers.
The Islamic group has recently been involved in violent protests resulting in multiple deaths including that of a Channels TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, and a deputy commissioner of police.
