AFCON: Senate Chief Whip, Kalu Gives Eagles Tactical Blue Print to Defeat S'Africa

As Nigeria and South Africa clash in the quarterfinal of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt, Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and the pillar of Sports in Africa, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged the Super Eagles to be watchful of the fast breaks and counter-attacks of the Bafana Bafana, Igbere TV reports.

“The South Africans are always very quick with passes and they enjoy to use fast breaks to take down their opponents,” Kalu reveals.

Igbere TV reports that the former Abia State Governor stressed that the Super Eagles needed maximum concentration to check the rampaging South Africans.

The Bafana Bafana scored their only goal three minutes to to full time against host and tournamenf fabourites, Egypt courtesy of a gast counter attack.

“We have a solud team but we must check the fast moves and counter attacks.

“The Eagles must be able to clise down the space and di their normal build up.”

Kalu as Governor of Abia state motivated Enyimba FC to break the CAF Champions link jinx for Nigeria as the Elephant won the African title in 2003 and 2004.”I have the experience and capacity to talk football. The Eagles must be very discplined, focused and be ready to take their chances.

“We have better players and we are a better footballing nation. These must be demonstrated on thd pitch in concrete terns by the players to get Nigeria a berth to the semifinals,” Kalu added.
