Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have called Buba Galadima, as first witness to prove their case against President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory during February 2019 elections, Igbere TV reports.
Mr Galadima used to be an ally of Buhari and is a spokesman for the Atiku Campaign Organisation.
He was reportedly arrested and detained by the Department of State Service (DSS) in the heat of the elections after he attempted to declare Atiku winner of the election.
At Monday’s proceedings, Galadima was called to the witness stand after the petitioners’ counsel, Livy Uzoukwu, presented some result sheets of four Local Government Areas of Kano State to the court.
Galadima adopted his witness statement on oath deposed to on March 18, 2019.
He was subsequently cross-examined by the lead counsel for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Yunus Usman.
