A passenger airplane operated by Air Peace has overshot the runway of the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State, Igbere TV reports.
The plane overshot the runway on Saturday after experiencing difficulty in halting properly due to heavy rainfall.
A passenger who was aboard the plane said the aircraft came to a halt in the bush some 200 meters away from the runway.
The witness said all of the passengers have been evacuated and driven to the arrival area.
