JUST IN!!! President Buhari Directs AGF To Intervene In Case Of Nigerian Lady Arrested In Saudi Arabia

President Buhari has ordered the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to facilitate the release of Zainab Aliyu, the young lady detained in Saudi Arabia for trafficking Tramadol.

Zainab was arrested on December 26th 2018 in Saudi Arabia after the banned substance was found on her.

However, an investigation by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) discovered that a cartel that specialises in planting illicit drugs in travellers’ luggage, planted the banned substance in Zainab luggage.

Nigerians have since called on the Federal government to intervene and facilitate the immediate release of Zainab.

In a tweet posted today, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Relations & Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, revealed that President Buhari has ordered the Attorney General of the Federation to facilitate Zainab’s release;
