JUST IN!!! INEC Chairman Speaks on Possibility of Postponement of 2019 Elections

There has been rumour recently of alleged plan by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the 2019 elections.

The INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmod Yakubu, has however dismissed the rumour saying there is no possibility of the 2019 general elections being postponed.

The presidential and National Assembly elections is scheduled to hold on February 16th while the governorship/state assembly/Federal Capital Territory Area council elections will hold on Saturday, March 2nd.

Yakubu said this in a recent interview with Osasu Show and monitored by Igbere TV..

“I cannot see any possibility of a postponement. We started this a long time ago. We have gone ahead with preparations. INEC is not even contemplating the possibility of a postponement” he said.
