How to Achieve Biafra Fast Despite IPOB Ban - Opposition Party, PDC

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group, has been advised by the People for Democratic Change (PDC) about how to pursue their cause for a sovereign Biafran state.

According to reports, the PDC’s national chairman, Mudi Waziri, urged IPOB to form a political party or join one. Waziri made his comments in Anambra, while handing over the party’s flag to Peter Chibike, the party’s gubernatorial candidate, on Saturday, October 21.

The party chairman was represented at the event by Isaac Onuka, the state chairman of the PDC, who further described IPOB’s call for a boycott of the upcoming Anambra elections, as ‘backwardness’.

Onuka advised members of the outlawed secessionist group to stop holding street protest; but to channel their grievances through recognized institutions.

He stated: “The National Assembly and several lawful avenues are available to citizens and groups to make a change, seek redress and advance legitimate causes.

“Therefore, we call on agitators to either join a political party, which shares their ideology, or form new parties to push their cause. Street protests cannot give anybody Biafra.”
Chief Edozie Madu, the national chairman of the Independent Democrats, lashed out at Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), for saying elections will not hold in Anambra.

Kanu and his group had insisted that the governorship election scheduled for November 18 will not hold; but Madu said they had no right to say so.

He said: “If Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB thinks his movement is popular he should form a political party where he will have all the powers and legitimacy to participate in elections the way he thinks.”
