A peti thief who has been causing sleepless nights for residents of of a neighbourhood in Awka, the capital of Anambra state met his Waterloo Thursday morning, IGBERE TV has learnt.
Eyewitnesses told IGBERE TV correspondent in Awka that the young man who is allegedly notorious for stealing fuel/diesel from peoples’ vehicles – was “mysteriously” trapped in the course of the latest operation.
Trapped Theif
It was a dramatic moment as the young man battled fruitlessly to free himself from the trap until he was caught.
It was alleged by the residents of the area that the thief was trapped by a ‘juju’ placed by the owner of a vehicle he was stealing from.
While others have attributed the incident to the alleged charm/’juju’, others have argued that the thief got trapped after inserting his hand deep into the fuel tank.
The incident attracted large number of residents who gathered at the scene to see the trapped thief.
