Report just reaching IGBERE TV news room indicates that an Abuja court has issued an order for the immediate arrest of Sen Hope Uzodinma.
Hope Uzodinma is the Senator representing Orlu Zone, Imo West at the upper legislative chamber Abuja.
The court also order the Inspector General of Police to produce Uzodinma in court,. by all legal means, before September 25 2018
The Grade 1 Area Court, Kubwa Abuja presided over by Justice Abdulwahab Mohammed gave the order, Tuesday following Senator Uzodinma’s failure to appear in court to respond to a direct criminal complaint pending against him.
“Pursuant to Section 131 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, a bench warrant is hereby issued against Senator Hope Uzodinma in view of his failure to attend court to answer to the complaint pending against him,” the judge said.
The complaint was issued against Uzodinma and his two companies by Chitex Ventures Ltd & Chima Akuzie, who claimed that the Senator issued them a N200 million UBA dud cheque (bounced cheque).
