There was mild drama yesterday at an APC rally held in Akwa Ibom South senatorial zone.
There was heavy rain during the rally which was organized to drum support for President Buhari’s second term as well as to receive Obong Nsima Ekere, the son of the Senatorial District whose performance they say has been a source of inspiration & blessing to the entire senatorial district as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Akpabio under the rain
Reports say Senator Godswill Akpabio who recently dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), was beaten by the rain as he vehemently refused to use umbrella (the symbol of his former party PDP)
He also reportedly ordered his aides not to use umbrellas as he proudly flaunted his broom at the event.
