While making the declaration in his hometown, the House of Representatives aspirant promised to embark on massive projects once he is elected and declared that the current person representing isiukwuato/Umunneochi has failed his people despite being in power for 12 good years.

Chief Amobi Godwin Ogah has declared his intention to represent Isiukwuato/Umuneochi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly. While making the declaration in his hometown, the House of Representatives aspirant promised to embark on massive projects once he is elected and declared that the current person representing isiukwuato/Umunneochi has failed his people despite being in power for 12 good years.

According to him,

“Today is the official day I’m declaring to run for the Office of House of Representatives, isiukwuato /Umunneochi, come 2019.”

“While coming from Uturu to Isiukwuato, at a point, my national vice Chairman asked me whether we are going inside the bush but I told him we are still going to the local government, he said, ‘something is wrong with these people’. And I told him you guys are lucky because you are from Enugu state. The Anambra Chairman said the same thing and I told him he is lucky too because he is from Anambra “.

” This is not the time again to be sharing rice or N5000, or wrapper to the women. It is no more the time. This is the time we need to attract infrastructure, roads for our people, there is no light. This is the least local government that we have in this country in terms of development. But we can not continue like that ”

If anybody feels that there is nobody in this zone to come and change the situation, I, Amobi Ogah will make my people get the dividends of democracy.

When asked if those joining APC will be a threat for him getting the ticket, he said.

” I don’t see it as threat. APC does not sell ticket, this is not PDP ‘Papa decieve pikin’. This is APC, we represent President Buhari and Buhari is transparent. So we are not selling ticket, if anybody thinks he/she is coming to APC to buy ticket because he/she has so much money over the past 12 years, I want to tell you that my people want change.”

“It’s time for equity to work, it’s time to get what is our own share. One person cannot be enjoying it. Looking at all the aspirants coming out, I, Amobi Chukwu Ogah is the only person who has the capacity and all it takes to take the power from her with what you have seen here today, he said.

Also, the chairman of APC, south east zone, who spoke at the event warned that it is not just by shouting and supporting Ogah come 2019 but to get PVC and participate in the coming election.

He equally encouraged the people by letting them know that there will be no such thing like rigging in the coming election. That their choice and vote shall speak for them.

Other dignitaries that graced the occasion include,
Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon. Ben O kalu, chairman APC Anambra chapter.
