JUST IN!!! June 12: Mko Abiola’s Family Makes Buhari An Offer

Patriarch of the Abiola family, Alhaji Muritala has told President Muhammadu Buhari that the late politician’s manifesto can help him solve the big challenge of poverty facing the country.Patriarch of the Abiola family, Alhaji Muritala has told President Muhammadu Buhari that the late politician’s manifesto can help him solve the big challenge of poverty facing the country.

He said the Buhari administration should implement some of the campaign manifesto of the late presumed winner of the June 12,1993 presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, to better the lots of Nigerians.
Muritala, a younger brother to Abiola, gave the advice yesterday, when he addressed an audience that gathered at the Abiola Family House at Oja-Agbo, Gbagura, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
It was a day to mark the 25th anniversary of the election, organised by Ogun State government.
“Nigerians are suffering. I am not happy about the economic hardship Nigerians are facing. Everything is upside down. We are just fed up. No money. No food. No road. People are dying.
“But, if Buhari can pick some policies of my late brother, the country will be better for it.
“Although my brother was rich, but we, his family, share the poverty problem with Nigerians.
“Nigerians will support him for the second time in office if he takes care of them,” Muritala said.
