What The Super Eagles Need Now After the Demolition of Cameroon – Mascot Uzor Kalu

A prominent Investment Banker and Former Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu has congratulated all Nigerians and the members of the Super Eagles team on their recent performance. According to him – ‘’Soccer remains a strong unifying factor and helps to build bridges in the face of the challenging times that the nation is going through.’’ He commended the teamwork, focus and dedication to duty as displayed by the boys on match day. Also, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu charged the boys to keep pressing for greater heights as the quest to clinch the sole world cup ticket in the group has not yet been fully accomplished.

In a similar vein, he has tasked all youths in the country to keep looking for ways to bring solutions to the problems that we face as a nation. This renowned philanthropist cum businessman believes that the solution to the challenges that the country faces lies within us. As part of his commitment to encourage the young ones, he has consistently stressed that there are many avenues that can help in making our society a better place. Besides Sports, there are opportunities in business, politics, commerce and other mind building initiatives. He tasked everyone to keep praying for the leaders of the Country and for the wellbeing of Nigeria.

His clarion call resonates with the timeless message that John F. Kennedy gave to the American people at a very intriguing moment of history. It says ‘’… do not ask what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country…’’The developed nations of the world have been able to pull resources to build the nation of their dreams. With the signs that are in the horizon for Nigeria, he believes that we can build the nation that we desire with a concerted effort by everyone.

Also, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu used the opportunity to thank all well-meaning citizens of Nigeria for their continued commitment to live together in peace and unity. He said that there is no nation which is not faced with their peculiar challenges. One of the beauties of nationhood is our ability to look for ways to resolve our differences. He charged all the leaders at every sector to keep working for the best interest of the people that they serve. This is due to the burdens that the Nigerian people face which he believes can be resolved when every leader rises up to act in a pragmatic way.

Another important message that he has passed to everyone is that we must be committed to rise beyond the call of duty. Nigeria is at a point where it will require extra effort on the part of all stakeholders to lift us to very lofty heights. He related this to the passion exemplified by the players in the Super Eagles team. They have been able to dominate a group that was hitherto termed ‘’Group of Death’’ by working hard to deliver the expected results. He charged other Sportsmen and women to keep raising the flag of the nation at every event in which they participate.

One of the end points of everyone taking responsibility for the growth of the nation is that Nigeria will take its rightful place in the Community of nations.
