Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has taken to her Facebook page to cry out over her exclusion from the national team, threatening to expose those she believes are responsible.
In a post shared on her official Facebook account, and sighted by IgbereTV, Okoronkwo accused unnamed corrupt officials of hiding the real reasons behind her omission from the squad.
“To those corrupt officials responsible for the decisions that led to my exclusion from the Super Falcons squad, why not tell Nigerians the real truth?” she wrote.
The player stated that she has remained silent for weeks out of respect, professionalism, and love for the game. However, she warned that she will no longer allow false narratives, speculation, and misinformation to continue spreading.
“I urge those in charge to stop lying to Nigerians and tell them the real reasons I was excluded from the team,” Okoronkwo said.
She further threatened to share her own side of the story if the truth is not made known.
“If the truth is not made known, I will have no choice but to share my own side of the story and expose everything that has happened behind closed doors,” she added.
The Super Falcons star did not mention any names or provide specific details about the alleged corruption. However, her post has since sparked reactions from fans and followers demanding answers from the Nigeria Football Federation.
As of the time of this report, the NFF and Super Falcons coaching crew have not responded to her allegations.
