The Nigerian Army have deployed heavy tanks and weapons to South East Nigeria in a bid to halt the Biafran agitation.
Amidst the uproar in the South East region, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have promised not to rest until they achieve freedom and hence, independence from the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
On the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his over 100 days medical leave in the UK, his first speech included his desire to stop the Biafran agitation by any means possible.
He also intimidated the Armed Forces to do all within its power to achieve this.
The supreme leader of IPOB Nnamdi Kanu has earlier notified that any attempts to rearrested him will cause Nigeria to burn.
The recent reaction from the military seems to be to achieve the presidents initial demand to stop Biafran agitation.
