Biafrexit: Nnia Nwodo Disgraced on the Floor of the Senate, Nnamdi Kanu Vindicated

The President of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Nnia Nwodo was today humiliated on the floor of Senate as the upper chamber voted against restructuring and devolution of powers to the states.
Contrary to Nnamdi kanu’s position that only referendum and Independence for Biafra would solve the problem of marginalization in the country, Nnia Nwodo had insisted that Nigerian elite were willing to restructure the country to accommodate the grievances of the Biafran agitators.
.

The Senate on Wednesday July 26 rejected the proposal to amend the 1999 Constitution in other to devolve more powers to the states.

Out of the 95 Senators present, 48 of them voted against the proposal to give more powers to the states.

IGBERE TV gathered that the voting was carried out through electronic voting system.

According to Premium Times, the proposal had been challenged on Tuesday by Adamu Aliero, who argued it should not stand without reviewing the revenue sharing formula to give more money to states.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Nigeria’s eight Senate voted on 33 major amendments to the Nigerian constitution. They voted to give financial autonomy for local governments.
The news was however greeted with jubilations by Biafra agitators in Aba, Onitsha and Port Harcourt
