Why The Cabal Wants Osinbanjo Out

By John Udoh

Osinbanjo will never be allowed to assume full powers because of 2019 elections.

Even though it is glaringly obvious that Osinbanjo will dare not present himself for elections in 2019 as he will lose by a wide margin to other aspirants who definitely will be from the north, the cabal are very cautious of the powers of incumbency which Osinbanjo will wield during any future elections.

The Cabal’s main concern is Osinbanjo throwing federal might behind a candidate outside their fold.

This is how Tinubu will likely bounce back and claim credit in installing another President by using Osinbanjo to install a successor come 2019.

Already Tinubu is shopping for a northern candidacy whom is not in favorable terms with the cabal and who also does not have any bad blood for him – this thus rules out Tinubu supporting the likes of Atiku and Sule Lamido.

Tinubu may go all out and throw his weight behind El Rufai which will be satisfactory to the Cabal who see El Rufai as an allly who will protect them from future probes and criminal investigations. However as myopic and greedy Tinubu is, I don’t see him trusting El Rufai.

So here lies the real crux behind the games of thrones currently occurring in Aso Rock and why the cabal is pushing for a civilian coup in the Senate to impeach Osinbanjo.

It is either a quiet subtle palace coup or a brutal bloody military coup.

At the end all is not looking good for Osinbanjo and his master, Tinubu
