Intellectual Youth Leaders of Nigeria: A Clarion Call To Embrace The Forthcoming Abia Convention

long stay of the Youths in power, but yet it wasn’t this bad. Nigeria from 1999 is a shadow of herself considering the rate at which our common wealth is been unconventionally distributed among the political leaders. Money meant for the general good would rather turn the asset of one political leader, who will inturn only dish out small portion during electioneering period. They only notice our relevance during election. OUR MUMU DON DO!

This has to stop, and IYLN is here to make it stop. Are we in this together?

My fellow compatriots, this is a wake up call to all of us that we can no longer eat from the trash can whereas we have a dinning table. Take statistics on the number of Youths who die during electioneering period and compare it to the number of their Children, you will agree with me that no politicians child has ever died because of election in this country. In fact, non of their children participates in our country’s election. Then why are we fighting each other because of people who care less about our well-being?

To me (IYLN), the only course worth dying for is the course to develop this great Nation. It is on this ground that IYLN stands. That the Youths should be allowed to contribute to the running of this Nation. At 20 in some developed countries like France, Canada, USA, someone of 20years is constitutionally empowered to via for very influential public positions. People within that age are even given serious political appointments which they effectively execute. But here in Nigeria, the case is different, we are either considered elements for actualizing their political aims or just means to getting back a lost position. This is behind the constant mobilization of the Youths for politically motivated protest, thuggery and distortion of peaceful electorial process.

OUR MUMU DON DO FINALLY. My fellow compatriots, IYLN has opened the doors of reawakening the Youths which Abia State has taken it upon herself to drive this mission to the grassroot. The State Convention slated for 22 of July 2017 at El Dorado Hotels/Event Center, Aba is a clear indication that Abians are fed up with the current system. We can not continue to complain of how our common resources are being mismanaged without contributing our quota to its development. This is our time to unit and fight the common enemy.

What we’ve complained before is lack of a platform to come together as one and fight this common enemy. Here’s this platform IYLN, are we going to abandon her to fight alone while we sit and watch? I suppose we all echoed NO to this. Abia Youths should seize this opportunity to take control of their state and build a state they so desire.
