The Ijaw speaking Biafrans, from Bayelsa state on the 22nd of June 2017, visited the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his home town at Isiama Afara Ukwu , Ibeku Umuahia, in Biafra land. It was a moment of joy as all the erudite Biafra writers /media on ground were present in that memorable occasion.
The Ijaw speaking Biafrans cum IPOB family from Bayelsa arrived at the palace of Eze I .O .Kanu at exactly 3:45 Pm with three coaster busses filled with people beside countless number of private cars.
The Biafran media crew was amazed at the enthusiasm with which they arrived. Upon their arrival, the whole environment was agog as they started chanting victory songs. They were all eager to see the Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
On interview as to whether they supported Biafra, to our greatest amazement, one of them was very angry at the question, saying, “It’s an insult to ask if we are supporting Biafra struggle”.
He told us that they were even more Biafrans than the Igbo speaking area of Biafra land. He narrated his ordeal with Shell Petroleum Company who have polluted their farmlands and waterways.
He told our media crew that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is a messiah, who has come to save Biafrans, especially the Ijaw people, who according to him are “dying of hunger and starvation not minding that Bayelsa contributes over 65% of the Zoo revenue”.
When Mazi Nnamdi Kanu came out to address them, we noticed the presence of a great leader, a Prince from the land of the rising sun, his great sense of humor was immeasurable, his educating session was a memorable one, everywhere was silent as he started with his normal greeting, calling (I…P…O…B); everyone responded accordingly.
Immediately the family from Bayelsa started singing again in
