Arewa Youth Threat To Igbos In The North , Not In Our Name - Kano Youth

By: Adamu Sani

To begin with, I don’t even think Nigeria will ever breakup, atleast not in a way that you Igbos in the East want it to go. There are more than 400-500k Igbos in Kano state alone. Some of them were born and bred in state and have never being to the eastern of the country. They have all their life here. They have made good money here, own shops, mega churches, story buildings and developed good and Nice area’s.
Many of them will choose to leave here in coffin than to leave their investment and go back to the East.

So I just woke up this morning to read an empty threat issued by some group of faceless morons parading themselves as Arewa youth leaders calling for the sack of Igbos out of the region.
These simpletons are not in any way representing our voice, in fact we don’t even know who they are. Their call is therefore nothing but laughable and condemnable. I urge the appropriate security agencies to go after these noneties because their utterances is capable of inciting discord in the country.

Most of them are former student union leaders in universities looking for a way to draw attention to themselves and probably receive some fat envelope from disgruntled politicians. They have no relevance and have no influence in the region.

The truth is 90 percent of youth in Northern states doesn’t even know about the current agitation of Biafra state in the eastern states. They don’t know what Biafra or Nmadi Kano means. So I wonder how can these miscreants woke up one day when no one knows about them or their kangaroo group to claim they are speaking on behalf of Arewa youths.
Arewa youth are peace loving citizens. We love our Igbo brothers so much so ad we can’t stand the idea of them leaving the country.

God bless Nigeria.
