7 Not 10,000 Candidates Were Arrested In Anambra During Exams – JAMB

The Joint Admissions Matriculations Board (JAMB) said seven, not 10,000 candidates were arrested for their involvement in malpractices during this year’s exams.

It said it is falsehood that as much as 10,000 candidates who sat for its exams in Anambra were arrested for malpractices.
JAMB coordinator in Anambra state, Mrs Lynda Aja-Nwachukwu, said the true position is that only seven people were arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
She, however, said that the examination in the state was a huge success and that plans were on to build on it to achieve more successes.

Aja-Nwachukwu said that some problems identified like candidates not being able to print at some examination centres, would soon be a thing of the past, adding that JAMB was prepared to give the best examination process in the country.

Recall that there had been reports that about 10,000 persons were involved in examination malpractice in Anambra during the JAMB exams, all of which were reportedly arrested by security agents.
