President Trump’s Delegation, led by the U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr W. Stuart Symington, today paid a courtesy visit to governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state at the governors lodge Amawbia-Awka, Anambra.
The purpose of the meeting which is still ongoing at the time of this report is still unknown.
However, government sources say it may not be unconnected to the the present socio-political and economic environment of the state which put it as the safest state in the country in the areas of security, business and politics.
Other sources say it may be related to the current Biafra agitation which have seen many unarmed protesters killed by Nigerian security forces as reported by Amnesty International.
The Ambassador is expected to brief newsmen who are currently waiting outside the Governor’s lodge after his meeting with the governor.
