President Trump’s Delegation Meet With Acting President Osinbajo in Aso Rock (Photos)
The relationship between the United States of America and Nigeria, has been strengthened once more with the visit of the Commander of the US-Africa Command and the American Ambassador in Nigeria to Vice president Yemi Osinbajo.
Osinbajo who was elated by the visit, expressed his satisfaction to Nigerians via his official Facebook Page posting pictures of the August visitors. It reads below;
“Today (15/02/2017), I had the pleasure of receiving General Thomas D. Waldhauser, Commander of the US-Africa Command and the American Ambassador in Nigeria, Honorable W. Stuart Symington at the Aso Villa.
Nigeria’s relationship with the USA is a very important one and we are appreciative of the support, we have received over the last few years. Now more than ever, our countries must deepen the long-standing relationship so that each of our nations can benefit tremendously.
Nigeria has been engaged in warfare against terrorists. The sheer brutality and mindlessness of terrorists who are prepared to kill children while they sleep, abduct girls, prepare to die, use teenage girls as suicide bombers are some of the ways this has been unprecedented for our military.
There are still a few splinter groups but President Buhari’s administration aims to end this as quickly as possible.

At our meeting, General Waldhauser expressed the readiness of the US government to accelerate its contributions to the war on terrorism.
Together, Nigeria will prevail.
