EXPOSED!!! How & Why Sahara Reporters Made the ‘Leaked Audio’ to Implicate Wike
Audio tapes mimicking the voice of the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike have been released by the APC online mouthpiece, Sahara Reporters. The audio purportedly alleging that governor Wike of Rivers state was in a conversation with INEC officers in an alleged attempt to rig elections in the last rerun was released solely to divert attention from the gross electoral misconducts perpetuated by the APC in connivance with federal forces during the last rerun elections in Rivers state with evidence on video tapes already in circulation on the internet, Rivers government sources claim.
In a desperate move to subvert the facts available, Sahara Reporters was contracted to do this messy smear campaign and in their confused state , they decided to start with a poor blackmail of the governor, sources added.
The SSA on social media to governor Wike, Oraye St. Franklin in a mobile chat with our reporters responded thus:
“THERE’S NOTHING TECHNOLOGY CANNOT DO!

The attempt to distract members of the public from the gravity of electoral crimes committed by agents of the Federal Government caught on video across Rivers State will not be sustained by cooking up well modulated audio fables to hoodwink the unsuspecting public. It is cheap, false and infantile.
We will stay on the issues and follow them up to their logical conclusions. To this very hour, not a word has been uttered by the Presidency on the damning actions of the military, Police and INEC during Rivers Rerun.
That silence is suspect. It is a calculated attempt to cover up and condone crimes against Nigerians.
Governor Wike never paid anyone to undermine the integrity of our electoral processes and no one has ever claimed to have received such funds. As a matter of fact, those who concocted that audio should have known that since it was allegedly related to the elections at Khana Local Government Area, there was no way, such a conversation would have held.
The reason is simple. Right from the beginning of the elections, we alerted the world about the seizure of all result sheets in Khana LGA of the Rivers South East Senatorial District by Mr. Derek Mene, the Director of Finance at the Niger Delta Development Commission, who took them to his hotel to doctor. Since that was the case, how then could Governor Wike have asked INEC to countersign results they had already compromised and were in favour of Magnus Abe, as they eventually announced? It doesn’t add up.
Also, are the producers of the audio telling us that the different conversations we heard are from one transaction? How can that be? Does that not mean the audio was edited? Can an edited and modulated audio sustain an argument on authenticity? Your guess is as good as mine.
Governor Wike is being framed and blackmailed for checkmating electoral fraud in Nigeria, which from all reasonable deductions have the endorsement of the Presidency, given its copious silence. It is so unfortunate that while, as citizens, we are fighting corruption to a standstill, it does appear that it is fighting back from the very head.”
THE SAHARA TAPES
Sahara Reporters had released the following audio tapes alleging to be a conversation between governor Wike and some INEC officers but Rivers state government sources say the audio were are fake and mimicked using audio mimicking softwares.
Another audio was also published on soundcloud here: Wike AUDIO
A video of a SARS senior officer, one Akin Fakorede beating up INEC officers at a collation centre in an attempt to steal election result and falsify it in favour of the APC went viral two days ago.
See video below:
Rivers government sources claim this attempt to smear governor Wike’s name by Sahara Reporters was hatched to distract public attention from the Akin Fakorede’s video and similar others already in the public domain and attracting wide condemnation.
Sahara Reporters, an online platform popular for reporting unconfirmed news and mostly paid propaganda and siding openly with the APC has repeatedly failed in so many attempts to substantiate their reports.
The founder, Mr Omoleye Sowore repeatedly appeared in APC rallies and joined in their campaigns during the 2015 elections.
