According to an eyewitness:
“Yesterday a group of vigilantee men about 40 in number were seen matching on different streets of onitsha on foot. Their sight was scary with all sort of weapons, one will be wondering whats going on. unfortunately I couldn’t get their pix.
Today again they were seen at ochanja round about, numbering about 30 with some police men too, doing stop and search. people were stopped and searched at random especially young men.
The security men were mean and not happy looking at all.
The exercise as we can see is to curtail crime this festive period as money will be moving to and fro this season.
