Army, Air Force and Boko Haram in Fierce Battle In Borno (Video) 

Scores of Boko Haram fighters were killed during a fierce fight with soldiers of the 119 task force battalion.

According to Premium Times sources, the fighting took place in the Kangarwa area of Borno state at about 4pm on Sunday, December 4.

The terrorists reportedly launched an attack on the troops’ location causing a protracted battle involving the Nigerian air force.

The exact number of killed terrorists remain unclear, however, at least 13 of them were found dead and many more considered to be badly injured.

The anonymous source said: “We are sure most of those who fled with wounds will die eventually.”

However, the other side also sustained casualties — one soldier was killed during and three others were wounded.

The insiders report that when the Nigerian air force appeared raining bullets from the air, the insurgents fled scatter in all directions abandoning their weapons.

“The Nigerian air force responded promptly by dispatching two aircraft in support of ground forces,” one source said.

Two Hilux vans belonging to the terrorist group were reportedly destroyed; artillery guns, Ak-47 rifles machine guns and pump action guns were recovered.
