The United States has carried out strikes against two Iranian launchers on Larak Island, according to a U.S. official.
The official said Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces had been observed preparing to launch rockets carrying sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian state media reported explosions on Larak Island, while the IRGC said the attack resulted in deaths and injuries among soldiers and civilians and vowed to respond.
The strike marks the first known U.S. attack on Iran since late July and comes amid heightened tensions over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a major route for global oil shipments.
The situation remains developing.
