Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Migrates Portal To Reflect New Institutional Identity ‎

‎Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, has migrated its official digital portal from the former Abia State Polytechnic domain to a new platform in line with the institution’s new name.

‎The portal migration represents one of several strategic advancements recorded by the institution since its renaming to Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic on November 7, 2024, a decision announced by Governor Alex Otti during the funeral rites of the late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

‎The Rector, Engr. Dr. Christopher Okoro Kalu, had disclosed during the institution’s 22nd Convocation Ceremony in December that the polytechnic had continued to record notable progress since assuming its new identity.

‎According to him, the institution has witnessed robust growth and institutional advancement, describing the period as one of upward mobility.

‎As part of efforts to align its operations with its new identity, the institution has now transitioned from the former Abia State Polytechnic portal to a dedicated digital platform under the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic name.

‎Speaking on the development, the Officer in Charge of ICT, Mr. Nnaemeka Okoro, said the upgraded portal was designed to enhance accessibility, transparency and efficiency in service delivery.

‎He explained that the platform features an improved user interface and additional functionalities crafted to optimize academic and administrative processes for students and staff.

‎According to him, the portal will serve as the institution’s primary platform for admission processing, fee payment, course registration, student record management and other academic activities.

‎He added that a dedicated e-learning and Computer-Based Testing (CBT) interface remains available to support digital learning and assessment.

‎Prospective students seeking admission, application forms and payment services have been advised to use the institution’s designated application portal, while enrolled students can access academic records, e-learning resources and examination results through the student management platform.

‎The portal migration is the latest in a series of reforms undertaken by the institution as it continues to modernise its operations and strengthen its digital infrastructure following its remaining.
