The 26-year-old, who is from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was crowned at the grand finale of the competition at the Federal Palace Hotel. She emerged winner from a field of finalists who competed under the theme, “Pride, Power, and Purpose.”

Her victory earns her the right to represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5.

Announcing the winner, founder of Silverbird Group and former senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, congratulated Karibi-George and described her as an advocate committed to social impact.

Murray-Bruce highlighted her work through Beyond Labels, an initiative that supports children with special needs and promotes inclusion.

“More than a queen, Tamunosoye is a passionate advocate for change. Through her initiative, Beyond Labels, she champions inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for children with special needs, creating safe spaces where every child is encouraged to dream boldly and realise that their circumstances do not define their future.

Karibi-George succeeds Joy Mojisola Raimi, who represented Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in India, where she finished among the Top 20 contestants and ranked among the leading African participants.
