Dr. Kelechi Anosike has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State after securing a decisive victory in the party’s governorship primary election.
In the results announced at the conclusion of the exercise, Dr. Anosike polled 16,543 votes to defeat his closest challenger, John Okiyi Kalu, who garnered 3,100 votes.
The outcome positions Dr. Anosike as the PDP’s flagbearer for the 2027 Abia State governorship election, setting the stage for what is expected to be a keenly contested political battle.
