Yesterday, as part of his ongoing consultative tour, the former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and a frontline aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, FNSE,FNICE, FNITHE, paid a courtesy visit to an elder statesman, distinguished Senator Chris Adighije.
Speaking during the visit, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji appreciated Senator Chris Adighije for his support over the years, he described him as a fulfilled man whose wisdom, and principled leadership continue to serve as a guiding light for many who aspire to follow in your footsteps.
The former Speaker intimated the APC chieftain of his intention to represent the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the Federal House of Representatives.
“It is in this spirit that I humbly inform you of my intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, with the aim of offering purposeful and people centered representation. This decision was not made lightly, but out of a sincere desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of our constituency and to amplify the voice of our people at the national level
I am fully aware of the weight of this responsibility, and I understand that leadership goes beyond ambition it requires integrity, sacrifice, and a genuine commitment to service. As I embark on this journey, I seek your counsel, guidance, and blessings, knowing that your experience and insight are invaluable” Rt Chinedum Orji said.
In his remarks, Senator Adighije highlighted the numerous political interventions started and completed by Rt Hon Chinedum Orji over the years, he eulogized him as a politician of all seasons whose impact and achievements are towering and monumental. He further said that Rt Hon Orji is simply the best candidate for the seat and urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to make sure that the best and qualified candidates are elected to fly the the party tickets.
“Your antecedents and precedents are simply unbeatable, you are a priceless asset to the people of Ikwuano and Umuahia Federal Constituency and I have resolved to support your ambition because I know you will do excellently well if elected into the Green Chambers just as you have done in the past” – Sen Adighije said.
Finally, he gave his blessings to the political ambitions of Rt Hon Orji to represent the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the Federal House of Representatives and assured him of his unflinching support.
