Panic has gripped commuters following a suspected bandit attack along the Ibadan–Ijebu Expressway, where several travellers were reportedly abducted and one person killed.
According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants ambushed vehicles along the busy highway, forcing them to a halt before whisking away an unspecified number of passengers into nearby bush paths. The attack, which occurred in the early hours of the day, left one traveller dead after being shot during the incident.
