Mumbai: Khar Police registered an FIR against a Nigerian national after he was found with Ecstasy tablets and cocaine collectively worth Rs 2.21 crore.
The anti narcotics cell (ANC) intercepted the accused at Bandra’s Sherly Rajan Road around 11.15 pm on April 16 while he was waiting for customers.

ANC officials were patrolling the Khar-Bandra belt. The Nigerian national, who was wearing a pouch, tried to move away on spotting the police vehicle, prompting them to stop him. A crowd of onlookers gathered and ANC officials disclosed their identity. The Nigerian national was identified as Eze Njoku, 39. He lived in Nala Sopara and had a valid Indian visa expiring in Aug 2026.
Police found 45 Ecstasy pills, weighing 24 gm, worth Rs 7.2 lakh and 213 gm of cocaine worth Rs 2.14 crore in his pouch. Njoku also told the police that he had suffered an injury to his in a railway accident in 2019.
