Senator Kalu Sends Abia North Constituents To China For Belt And Road Training

‎In a decisive move to bolster human capital development across the senatorial district, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has facilitated the participation of two constituents in an international capacity-building programme in China under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

‎The beneficiaries Offor Basil Chiadikaobi from Umunneochi Local Government Area and Igwe Samuel Isaiah from Bende LGA are currently attending the Training Programme on Opening-Up and Economic Cooperation for Belt and Road Countries, a flagship initiative designed to equip emerging leaders with skills in global economic collaboration.

‎According to a statement from the Senator’s office, the duo represents the latest batch of participants sponsored through the lawmaker’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and cross-border exposure.

‎”This continued participation reflects our sustained commitment to human capital development, youth empowerment, and global exposure across Abia North,” Kalu said.

‎Kalu further commended the delegates for flying the constituency’s flag on the international stage, urging them to “maximize this opportunity for learning, collaboration, and contributing meaningfully to our collective development.”

‎The training programme, hosted in China under the broader framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, focuses on opening-up policies and economic cooperation key pillars of the multi-trillion-dollar global infrastructure strategy.

‎Senator Kalu, who represents Abia North at the Red Chamber has been known globally as a human capacity developer who has over the years given the lives of Nigerian youths a meaning through various like trade, commerce, governance, leadership and education.

‎As global partnerships deepen through the BRI, the beneficiaries are expected to return with enhanced competencies to drive local economic growth and policy innovation across Abia North.
